1. Who we are
Forbik (“Forbik”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Forbik. Forbik runs a marketplace — the Forbik website and apps — that connects people who need work done at home (“customers”) with independent tradesmen (“pros”). These terms apply to both.
2. What Forbik does, and does not do
Forbik checks experts, lets customers book them, shows prices, records what was agreed, and helps when something goes wrong. The work itself is done by the expert, who is an independent professional and not Forbik’s employee. The agreement for the work is between the customer and the expert; Forbik arranges it and stands behind the process described in these terms.
3. Accounts
- You need an account to book or to work as an expert. Sign-up uses your mobile number, and the details you give must be true and your own.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- You must be at least 18 to hold an account.
4. Booking and prices (customers)
- Fixed price. The price shown when you book is the price for that job and is locked once the booking is made.
- Visit and quote. You pay the visit charge shown. The expert then proposes a price in the app; work starts only if you approve it.
- Extras. Any additional work or parts must be proposed by the expert in the app with a price and approved by you before they are done. You do not have to pay for extras you did not approve.
- Fees. Forbik’s booking fee (a share of the job price, with a minimum) and, for emergency bookings, an emergency surcharge are shown before you book. If your Forbik wallet covers the booking fee it is taken from the wallet when you book. See pricing.
- Paying. You pay the total shown in the app when you confirm the job is done. Do not pay outside the app’s total; Forbik cannot help with money agreed off the platform.
- Cancelling. See cancellations and refunds.
5. Experts
- You must pass Forbik’s verification, keep your details current, and hold any skills and permissions your trade requires.
- You set your own prices for the services you offer. A price is binding once a customer books it.
- You pay Forbik’s platform fee on each job you take, from your Forbik wallet when the job becomes yours, and any commission shown in the Forbik Pro app when it is completed. Fees can change with notice; a job keeps the fees it was taken at. The fee is returned if the customer cancels or the job falls through through no fault of yours.
- You must not ask customers to pay outside the app, move bookings off Forbik, or share contact details to do so.
- You are responsible for the quality and safety of your work, and for your own taxes.
6. Conduct
Treat each other with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, fraud, fake reviews, and attempts to take payments or contact off the platform are not allowed. We may warn, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may remove content that does.
7. Reviews
Reviews must be honest and about a real booking. A review stays sealed until both sides have written or three days pass. We may remove reviews that are abusive, irrelevant, or break the law, but we do not remove a review just because it is negative.
8. Problems and disputes
If something goes wrong, report it from the booking. We will look at the job’s record — prices, approvals, messages and photos — and hear both sides before deciding a fair outcome, which may include a refund of fees, a return visit, or action on an account.
9. Liability
We work hard to keep Forbik running and to check the experts on it, but we cannot guarantee the service will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Forbik is not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any booking is limited to the fees you paid Forbik for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Forbik means you accept the update.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
